Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility - MN

Filing a complaint with the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility ("OLPR") can be daunting and confusing, and even lead to the OLPR refusing to investigate your complaint or allowing the offending attorney to retaliate against the complainant.

We have successfully filed complaints against attorneys for violations of the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct ("MRPC"), which have led to investigations and ultimately discipline of the offending attorneys.

If you have witnessed or experienced violations of the MRPC, and are feeling overwhelmed, we will review your documentation and evidence to determine if we can file a complaint. Our complaint process includes:

  • Review evidence
  • Perform research
  • Obtain witness statements
  • Compile information
  • Draft complaint
  • File complaint with the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility
  • Follow-up with complaint
  • Appeal proceedings
  • Writs
  • Draft report of process and result
  • Submission of final report to legislators and MN Supreme Court
